Spanish Side contact Mamelodi Sundowns over signing their superstar

Jayden Adams, a rising talent in South African football, is drawing interest from European heavyweights. Spanish club Sevilla FC is reportedly keeping a close eye on the Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder, whose performances have impressed both domestically and internationally.

Since his transfer from Stellenbosch FC to Sundowns in January, Adams has quickly made his mark. His strong showings have also earned him a growing role with the national team, Bafana Bafana. Sevilla, known for scouting talent across Africa, has identified Adams as a promising future signing.

A source close to the situation revealed that Sevilla’s African scouting network has followed Adams for a while. “They’ve been watching him for some time. After viewing some of his match footage, the club was impressed, and their interest started growing. Now they’re making inquiries,” the source shared.

Sevilla reportedly admires Adams’ composure, vision, and strong work ethic, viewing him as a long-term midfield asset. However, Sundowns are not eager to let him go.

The club considers Adams crucial to their future plans, especially with senior players like Themba Zwane approaching retirement. According to another insider, “Sundowns are looking to build around Adams. Losing him so soon after his arrival would be difficult, especially when other senior players could move on instead.”

While a move to Europe may eventually be on the cards, Adams remains focused on his current responsibilities with Sundowns and the national team. His potential move to La Liga could mark the next big step in his flourishing career.
